Arbenbiwak SAC

Located at the foot of Ober Gabelhorn, this small cabin with 15 berths and a fully equipped kitchen is a convenient base for experienced mountaineers with the appropriate gear. The unattended summer shelter was a gift from the Royal Dutch Alpine Club (KNAV) to the SAC Zermatt section in 1977, celebrating the 75th anniversary of the KNAV. There is an impressive view of Matterhorn Glacier and the Matterhorn north wall.
