Cabane de la Dent Blanche CAS
The highest-located, attended cabin of the SAC, at the back of Val d'Hérens, on the south ridge of Dent Blanche, the challenging pyramid, whose name was probably once confused with Dent d'Hérens close to Matterhorn. The cabin is energy self-sufficient and water self-sufficient (melting snow). Splendid view across the glacial universe to Dent d'Hérens and Les Bouquetins. Access is by strenuous ascents, the one from Ferpècle resembling even a direttissima.
