Grassenbiwak SAC

Small, quadrangular construction on Wendenjoch between Engelberg and Gadmen. It has a simple lounge/dormitory, no warden and is self-catering. Access trails are alpine with glacier crossings, from Engelberg/Herrenrüti onwards it is an alpine path. In summer a starting point for summit ascents and climbing tours. In winter there are ski mountaineering and a challenging snowshoe area. Impressive location on the ridge with a view of four glaciers and the awesome wall of Titlis.
