Comparatively new, child-friendly hikers’ cabin above the scenic Appenzeller Fählensee. Surrounded by mountain forests and in the midst of Alpstein’s mountainous karst landscape. The simple cabin suited for convivial gatherings with table tennis and bouldering wall is popular among families and small hiking groups. Climbers come for the routes of Hundstein, Freiheit and Kreuzberge or the climbing park of Stifelwand.
