Weisshornhütte SAC

The impressive view rewards the steep ascent from Mattertal: 19 four-thousanders, from Dom to Dufourspitze an on to the hardly visible peak of Matterhorn. On the same side of the valley and seemingly close enough to touch there is Zinalrothorn and the southwest face of Weisshorn. The cosy and small cabin is the starting point for its ascent via the east ridge. The spectacular position of the simple cabin makes for a rewarding destination for well trained visitors.
