Approach is typically from the Otse village area via dirt tracks; reports note parking west or north of town and walking the final approach. A local sign near the nearby Lentswe la Baratani area prohibits climbing for local religious reasons, although the Otse highpoint lies several kilometres west of that sign. Nearby sandstone hills, including Manyelanong and associated cliffs, are designated conservation areas with restricted public access except by permission from the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (DWNP).
