Otse Hill

Otse Hill is a sandstone peak near the village of Otse in Botswana’s South‑East District. Its summit elevation is commonly cited at about 1,491 m (the 1999 Department of Surveys and Mapping 1:50,000 topographic map shows a trigonometrical station at 1,491 m); SRTM-derived cells report ~1,486 m and some modern sources list 1,492–1,493 m. A 2025 GNSS survey measured Monalanong Hill as approximately 1.87 m higher than Otse, making Monalanong the country’s highest point according to that survey.
